International Events

Sangam offers you 7, 10 or 12 day long events where you can experience the local way of life, learn more about different cultures and India, and interact with the community.

Please arrive the day before your event starts, between 8 AM and 10 PM. 

The event starts with lunch at 1 PM on the first day and ends with lunch at 1 PM on the last day.

Events are open to members of WAGGGS, their friends and families.

WAGGGS Advocacy Seminars

Intense seven-day seminars provide training and information sharing using informal education methods of Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting and building on local resources. Learn more about WAGGGS advocacy and community action at Sangam while discovering Indian culture

Active members of WAGGGS aged 18+ who would like to extend their knowledge in the seminar topic through international exchange, learning guided by facilitators and field visits are welcome to apply. You will be ready to take action once you return home to develop your organisation.

Community Programme

If you are looking for a longer term experience, you can participate in Sangam’s Community Programme. This 12 week programme offers participants the opportunity to volunteer with one of Sangam’s Community Partners while living in the supportive environment of Sangam World Centre in Pune, India. After a two-week orientation, participants are placed with a Sangam Community Partner to volunteer for 10 weeks.
